Every year our foundation continues to grow due to the amazing support we receive from you guys. This leads us to an EXCITING announcement.....

We are pleased to announce two incredibly talented professional sporting individuals England Women's cricketer Kate Cross and Bristol Rovers defender Lee Brown as our first Matthew Hackney Foundation Patron's helping to support & raise awareness.

A bit about our Patron's -


Kate Cross England Women's Cricketer and ashes winner!

In January 2014, she was selected for the Women's Ashes Tour of Australia, during which, she played in 6 matches of the 7 match series

In April 2014, she was one of the 18 Women to be awarded the first Professional Contracts by the ECB. In April 2015, she became the first woman to play in the Central Lancashire League, taking 3-19 in a game!!

Lee Brown English Football League two defender for Bristol Rovers and formerly QPR -

Lee was awarded by Neil Warnock his first professional contract in 2009 at QPR.

Lee then signed for Bristol Rovers in 2011 and he made his debut in their opening game of the season, live on Sky Sports, against AFC Wimbledon. Rovers won the game 3–2. In his first season at Bristol Rovers he appeared in 42 league games and scored seven goals for Rovers.

Lee also represented Bristol Rovers at Wembley in thier triumphant promotion victory against Grimsby as well as working his way into the England C squad.

We are honoured to have them both join the foundation and look forward to working together raising awareness.
